The Long and Winding Road
It’s a right of passage; the back road trek to the farm in Manchester. We made the journey this morning and after long lines of cars and Bonnaroovians, victory is ours!
Evidently, Manchester got rain yesterday; a lot of it. Some vehicles had to wait to drive on site until sand and gravel could be brought in to avoid them sinking in the mud. (There is lots of that, too).
After arriving at the Radio Compound, I got a chance to see some of The Non-Commissioned Officers set, Fanfarlo and Diane Birch. The night is still young and I’m hoping to find a magical way to see Local Natives, Manchester Orchestra, Mayer Hawthorne & the County and Wale.
If you are making the trek to the farm, don’t forget rain boots, sunblock and baby wipes. (Yes, baby wipes may just be the secret to Bonnaroo!)
It will most likely be a late night (or perhaps an early morning). Check back tomorrow for lots more, including an interview with The Non-Commissioned Officers and an exclusive backstage performance by Joshua James. Game On!
For now - Cheers!
